Terms and Conditions for Free Roof Inspections

Effective Date: Monday, 3rd March 2025

These terms and conditions govern the provision of free roof inspections by Roofix Solutions Ltd. By engaging this service, the client agrees to the terms outlined below.


1. Definitions.
* “Client” refers to the individual or organization requesting the free roof inspection service from Roofix Solutions Ltd.
* “Free roof inspection” refers to the complimentary visual assessment of the roof provided by Roofix Solutions Ltd.
* “Inspector” refers to the representative of Roofix Solutions Ltd. conducting the free roof inspection.
* “Work” refers to any subsequent services or repairs offered following the free roof inspection.
* “Report” refers to the summary of findings provided to the client following the free roof inspection, including the Roof Maintenance Score, if applicable.
* “Roof Maintenance Score” refers to a subjective evaluation of the roof's condition based on the inspector's visual assessment.
* “Readily accessible areas” are defined as areas visible from ground level or accessible via a standard ladder (up to 3.5 metres in height) and safe to access.
* “Unforeseen circumstances” include, but are not limited to, unsafe conditions, adverse weather, inspector illness, vehicle breakdown, emergency call-outs, or any other events, whether similar or dissimilar, beyond the control of Roofix Solutions Ltd.

 

2. Scope of the Free Roof Inspection
* The free roof inspection is a visual assessment only and is limited to readily accessible areas of the roof.
* The inspection does not include:
* Invasive testing or dismantling of any roof components.
* Detailed structural analysis or assessments of concealed or inaccessible areas.
* Inspection of areas deemed unsafe or inaccessible by the inspector.
* The inspection is intended to identify visible signs of potential issues and provide a general overview of the roof's condition.
* Any findings or recommendations provided during the inspection are based solely on the inspector's observations at the time of the visit.

 

3. Limitations of Liability
* The free roof inspection is an opinion-based assessment and may not reveal all underlying or hidden problems.
* Roofix Solutions Ltd. shall not be held liable for:
* Any damages or losses resulting from issues not identified during the inspection.
* Any subsequent deterioration or damage occurring after the inspection.
* Any inaccuracies arising from the limitations of a visual inspection.
* The client acknowledges that the inspection does not serve as a guarantee of the roof's overall condition or longevity.

 

4. Safety during Inspections
* The inspector will only proceed with the inspection if it is deemed safe to do so.
* Roofix Solutions Ltd. reserves the right to cancel or postpone the inspection if:
* Weather conditions or site conditions pose safety concerns.
* The roof or surrounding areas are deemed unsafe or inaccessible.
* The client agrees to provide safe and unobstructed access to the property and roof for the purpose of the inspection, which may include clearing debris, trimming trees, or other necessary preparations.

 

5. Report and Recommendations
* A written report summarizing the findings of the inspection will be provided to the client.
* The report will include:
* Observations of visible roof issues.
* General recommendations for maintenance or repairs, if applicable.
* A Roof Maintenance Score, which provides an overall rating of the roof's condition based on the inspector's visual assessment.
* Roof Maintenance Score:
* The Roof Maintenance Score is a subjective evaluation ranging from 1 (poor condition) to 10 (excellent condition).
* Factors considered include visible leaks, wear and tear, moss growth, gutter condition, and overall structural integrity.
* This score is a general guide and does not replace a detailed professional survey.
* Reports, including the Roof Maintenance Score, will typically be delivered via email or in person within 3-5 business days, subject to workload and potential unforeseen delays.
* The client is responsible for ensuring the provided email address is correct and that the client's email system will accept emails from Roofix Solutions Ltd. Roofix Solutions Ltd. will use reasonable efforts to ensure email delivery, but will not be held responsible for reports not received due to incorrect email addresses or client email filtering systems.
* A confirmation email will be sent to the client when the report is delivered as proof of delivery. If the confirmation email bounces or is not received, the client should contact Roofix Solutions Ltd. to confirm report delivery.

 

6. Potential for Sales
* The primary purpose of the free inspection is to provide an assessment of the roof's condition. Any sales offers are secondary and entirely optional.
* The free roof inspection may result in the offer of additional paid services, such as repairs, maintenance, or subscription packages.
* The client is under no obligation to accept any paid services offered following the inspection.
* Any paid services offered will be subject to separate terms and conditions, as outlined in the relevant agreement or contract.

 

7. Access and Permissions
* The client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions for Roofix Solutions Ltd. to access the property and roof.
* Roofix Solutions Ltd. shall not be liable for any delays or inability to perform the inspection due to lack of access or permissions.
* The client agrees to ensure the roof and surrounding areas are safe and accessible prior to the inspection.

 

8. Cancellation and Rescheduling
* The client may cancel or reschedule the inspection by providing at least 24 hours' notice.
* Roofix Solutions Ltd. reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the inspection due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to:
* Unsafe conditions.
* Adverse weather.
* Inspector illness.
* Vehicle breakdown.
* Emergency call-outs.
* Roofix Solutions Ltd. will make reasonable efforts to notify the client as soon as possible in the event of cancellation or rescheduling due to unforeseen circumstances.

 

9. Data Privacy
* Roofix Solutions Ltd. will handle all personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.
* Client information will be used solely to arrange the inspection, provide the report, and follow up on potential work.
* Client data will not be shared with third parties without express consent, except as required by law.

 

10. Digital Photos and Videos
* The inspector may take photos or videos of the roof during the inspection.
* These photos or videos will be used solely for the purpose of documenting findings and providing recommendations to the client.
* Roofix Solutions Ltd. will store these materials securely and will not share them with third parties without the client’s consent.

 

11. Insurance
* Roofix Solutions Ltd. maintains public liability insurance with a coverage of £[Insert Coverage Amount] to ensure coverage for its operations and services. Proof of insurance can be provided upon request.

 

12. Governing Law and Disputes
* These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
* Any disputes arising from the provision of the free roof inspection service shall be resolved through mutual discussion. If no resolution is reached, disputes may be referred to a third-party mediator.
* If mediation fails, legal proceedings shall take place within the courts of England and Wales.

 

13. Entire Agreement
* These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between Roofix Solutions Ltd. and the client concerning the free roof inspection.
* No other verbal or written agreements outside of these terms shall apply unless explicitly agreed upon in writing by both parties.

 

14. Amendments
* Roofix Solutions Ltd. reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to clients prior to their scheduled free roof inspection, or published on our website.
By requesting a free roof inspection, the client acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions.
